More momentary blissness drawings
In this time of horror, created by devils in suits giving themselves honorable titles, I am conscious of the privilege we have of being at peace and with people we love, having a home, having a live. I don’t know what to do or say but I need to acknowledge it. It is a fragile gift we randomly got.
Momentary blissness is a song by Starbuster about anxiety and panic.

Rhythmic Movement Disorder (RMD) is a sleep-related condition, characterized by repetitive, stereotyped movements like head banging or body rocking while falling asleep or sleeping.
Sculpture ‘Carrier’ in combination with one of my studies of Scottish bens and laws.
The work is built through layering, texture, relief, and residue. Marks are not illustrative but cumulative, the result of ongoing action, revision, and review. Gesture functions as a form of construction: repetitive, corrective, and embodied.
My gestures are my language.
Tone shifting in the studio. Friday 19 December we will host some friends and artists we admire in our open studio exhibition. Every month there will be a gathering in one of the ndsm studios to connect and see art and hear music and things.
My sweet friend and favorite cult leader @janneke_hopmaxx will play us some tunes so come on down to Amsterdam north and have a shake with is!

On repeat in de studio
Working on a new painting that gives me headaches or maybe i need to switch genres. Sometimes it is very horrible to paint, it is annoying and stupid and very bad. Sometimes it is pure bliss and everything falls into place and the deepest connection, loose of capitalistic value and autonomous in the world. I do not know why it is like this but I’m confidently confused most of the time.
It is time for a holiday, some knitting, swimming and gaming with my friends. I will see what to do when I get back.
Last month’s studio time in a nutshell 🥜
I improved my studio on wheels. I don’t have a lot of space but when i am working i can move everything around to create more space. So my painting table on wheels is now bigger and better.
Also working with a lot of texture and getting inspiration from sea creatures that seem like aliens to me. It’s getting a bit more mystical and eery here.
And finally reglazed my blob ceramic and fired it at @studiorabanada her studio. I love working with clay to create these amorphous shapes and textures.
