Over the past few years many people have asked me how I’m brave enough to wear whatever I want without caring about other people’s opinions. The truth is it hasn’t always been that easy. 🎨🤹🏻♀️
Thinking back to my elementary school days, I remember one moment very clearly. One day I decided to wear very colorful shoes (not the usual white or beige shoes everyone else was wearing). They were filled with flowers and obviously very extravagant compared to everybody else’s shoes. 🍭🦋
Unfortunately, the whole school decided to laugh at me and bully me for these shoes. I was basically called ‘the girl with the weird shoes’. 🛼💖
The sad news is that I never wore those shoes again after that day. But the great news is that I kept them as a gentle reminder and proof that fashion is very powerful, because it allows us to express ourselves without using words.🌟🩰

Fun fact: more than 10 years ago I followed every mainstream fashion trend including black & white minimalism, only to discover that I was actually just trying to fit in and copy whatever I saw in magazines and on social media. After that phase, I slowly started creating my very own style language, mainly by wearing unique vintage pieces and using fashion as a tool to express myself. Now I’m finally being myself and I never felt better or happier. 🔮
