20 Parachutes is a quadtych deticated to the entrepreneurial spirit of Leslie L. Irvin.
I can remember @realbenweiss mentioning the idea of a “gym project” almost 2 years back, even before we knew what the theme would be. We spoke about it, but focused on other projects in the meantime. Finally, last Fall it all began. To see it come to fruition and complete today, I can say this is the most fun I’ve had during the production of any art project I’ve been a part of. The idea evolved from a mural painted directly on wall to a quadtych on canvas with real parachute material, which changed the entire approach 👨🏾🎨👨🏾🔬😈 The rest is history….. Enjoy‼️

@teddyb_h2o is the epitome of what you would want your HS football head coach to be! His committment and character (Character is how you treat those who can do nothing for you) should be celebrated instead of him being suspended. He came to me with an idea last year and We walked through the locker room, gym, weight room with plans to aesthetically upgrade the facility (all on his dime). He spoke on how the school was too rich in football history to not have it on display. This became the vision for the locker room; a museum vibe of the MNW football legacy, paying homage to past teams, accomplishments, and players by position. I support him 100% and after him pouring thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars into the murals I will officially DONATE MY TIME until the vision he has in the locker room is complete, however long it takes. The student-athletes are already inspired; multiple players have approached me while painting letting me know “I’m going to be on this wall one day, watch!” Coach Teddy is Legend and I can’t wait to watch the legend continue #5 #neighborhoodhero

Got the opportunity to honor @marshallfaulk at his high school Alma Mater with a mural sponsored by @drugfreeworldint , whose message is to Live Drug Free! Being at the school days at a time allowed me to see the culture of the community in the 9th ward and truly appreciate what it is the administration at the school is geared towards doing for these kids. S/o to @canvasbully and @kiflyn.b for all the help as well as Nate & Dwana. Appreciated the opportunity 🙏🏾✊🏾🎨 More to come….
