Frenesí
Congolese mahogany and mirror glass
44in x 32in x 3in
🪞🛖
Frenesí is a sculptural mirror crafted from solid Congolese mahogany, where flowing organic forms and asymmetrical volumes create a dynamic play of light, shadow, and reflection.
The use of directional grain was made to give rise to a realm of circular patterns, where carving and image undergo a continuous morphosis within the body of the wood, revealing the tree’s identity and language.

In March this year we lost our beautiful baby Uma. My lil girl was my best friend daughter and quite literally my shadow. I’m blessed to have spent so much time with her but damn!!!!! Does it hurt!!!!!! Life with Uma was bright beautiful and unbelievably joyful. Forever and ever I will have an Uma sized hole in my heart. Canine refractory epilepsy sucks!!!!!!
Part’ly Tectonics Critical Computational Thesis:
GENERATIVE RECIPROCAL STACK— PABELLÓN CANTILEVER is one of the infinite possibilities that this notched system can adapt to.
This research demonstrates the necessity for the application of an integrative design process that simultaneously addresses the complex coupling of geometry, structural performance, and fabrication.
By using the capabilities of computation and digital fabrication as the basis for creating self-supporting structures, the process of ‘design to build’ of these systems is more interdependent than ever.
The formal configurations, high fabrication efficiency, and structural capabilities of self-supporting structures attests to their efficacy and how relevant these systems are in today's architectural discussion.
I want to give a big shoutout to my rock Aleah, my brother Jameel, Nadia, Rob Ley, my wood plug Don Eduardo, Lisa Little, my emotional support crew Lari & Jack, & my family for helping me achieve this project.
