Love it when research books end up being the most interesting reads I've had in a while.
These three trace the origins and future of a new kind of empire. Tech giants built an entire system by spying on everything we do, turning what we post and click into "cloud capital" while perfecting the science of keeping us dependent on their platforms.

The endgame: they own access to nearly everything we need. We just rent.

Here's the 4th of 5 sample tracks. I didn't compose this one but had fun recreating and arranging. Other public domain music is included in the full album.

This was so fun to read. As a fan of The Martian (the film, not the book), I was curious to experience more of Andy Weir's storytelling, especially since it's in one of my fave genres: competence porn (smart people solving problems and being very good at their jobs). Project Hail Mary is pretty much the same as The Martian but with touches of Contact, Arrival, and some charming, funny buddy comedy. I hope the film is just as good. Consider me seated.
