The first photo is my 2025 Olive Cotton Finalist with ‘Coffee, cigarettes and sweet’ captured in Flores, East Indonesia, just a few days before my brother and I drove East to assess my biological mother Maria’s situation. Maria passed a few weeks after my visit.
This photograph was part of the finalist exhibition at @tweedregionalgallery .
The second photograph is a look at how’s hometown landscape has been carved by the same ocean my birth land for thousands of years; an invitation to ground oneself deep in a moment of contemplation.
This series was part of the 2026 Global Focus Project at @xposurexpf in Sharjah amongst 11 other photographers nominated to represent 6 continents.
