Jacob is a New York City–based music director, pianist, and voice instructor whose work has lifted stages from Maine State Music Theatre to Syracuse Stage and beyond. A proud Ohio native and graduate of the Eastman School of Music, Jacob has shaped the next generation of performers through his faculty role with Syracuse University’s Tepper Semester in NYC.
Favorite credits include West Side Story (Maine State Music Theatre), Baggage at the Door and Adventures in Vegas (AMT Theater), The Last Five Years (Southern Colorado Repertory Theatre), A Grand Night for Singing (Syracuse University), associate conductor for The Little Mermaid and Matilda (Syracuse Stage), and associate music director for Queen of the Mist, Funny Girl, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, White Christmas, and Tootsie. His musical touch is also found in new works including The Bridge, Miss Havisham’s Wedding, Sapped!, and the upcoming A Rebel Prayer.

last weekend was a highlight of a lifetime. when i wrote this tune almost ten years ago i never thought it would be heard let alone selected to be included in the Sacred Harp. i hope that people enjoy it. it was so humbling to be included amongst the composers and get to sing their songs with them. in memory of my grandpa and my ata: 520 Ata
