Huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out for our SECOND community cleanup of the year! From picking up litter to helping beautify our neighborhood, every bag filled and every block cleaned makes a difference. We’re building a cleaner, stronger, and more connected community together — and we had a great time doing it. 🙌 Special thanks to the JSQCA Clean Committee for coordinating the event, @whealth.kitchen for providing refreshments, and @thenewjsq for supplying cleanup materials. We’d also like to thank @arjumandjuweria for joining us and supporting the effort. We truly appreciate all the support we continue to receive from @tomzuppajc and his staff. And an extra special shoutout to the little ones who joined in on the action! If you missed this one, don’t worry. Stay tuned for updates on the next cleanup and come join the movement to show some love where you live.

Today’s Catch Basin Cleanup was a great success — rain and all. A little wet weather wasn’t going to stop the mighty JSQCA Clean Committee and its supporters! Together, we cleared litter from local catch basins, picked up trash from the surrounding streets, and took a small but important step toward protecting our community and waterways. A special thank you to @zuppaforjc for joining us and showing his support for the neighborhood, as well as @arjumandjuweria Huge appreciation as well to the @thenewjsq for their partnership and support, and to @whealth.kitchen for the refreshments. Community action like this is what makes Journal Square strong. We look forward to seeing you at the next one!

Join the Journal Square Community Association for a community cleanup focused on catch basins; a small action that makes a big environmental impact! 📅 Saturday, April 25 ⏰ 9:30 AM 📍 615 Pavonia Ave (Meet in the plaza next to Whealth Kitchen, by PATH Plaza) 🌧️ Rain date: Sunday, April 26 Did you know… • It takes 10–20 years for a plastic bag to decompose. • It takes 450–1,000 years for a plastic bottle to decompose. • The debris sitting on your catch basin cover has a high chance of ending up in the ocean! That’s why we’re hosting a Journal Square Cleanup JUST FOR CATCH BASINS—to drive home how important it is to keep these drains clear and protect our waterways. 🙌 All are welcome! 🧤 Supplies provided by @thenewjsq ☕ Refreshments by @whealth.kitchen
