When I’m preparing music for sync, the reduced mix can be just as important as the full version.
The full version has the energy, but the reduced version gives the editor space for picture, voiceover, dialogue or whatever else needs to sit around it.

I like partnering live and digital drums rather than choosing one or the other.

Something I think about a lot in music for media is that finding a niche usually isn’t about inventing something totally new.
It’s more about combining two things that already work. Big riffs work. Marching-band drums work. Put them together and it feels familiar enough to be usable, but different enough to stand out.
