Alright Alright Alright!!! Hey guys! Tim here with another installment of Semperfli's ABC critters line-up! This week we have the beautiful mayfly nymph! I started with Mustad's terrestrial nymph hook in size 14. I did alter the tail with whiting's dry fly hackle in olive and also the antennas with D's micro fibbets in olive. As per usual, the body is built up using UV putty and then to finish up I used olive Marabou from a very,very small saddle hackle feather which was an absolute pain in the a**😂 to get it in the place I wanted it! After all that, it was just getting the color work done. This has 6 colors of UV polish in all and to lock it all in was a few coats of Semperfli's UV resin thin and fast. In my opinion, best UV resin on the market! Hands down! And I'm not getting paid to say that or telling you if you haven't used any Semperfli's products, your missing out on some of the best materials you can buy and probably missing more fish on the water!! I have some big plans coming up the next few weeks! Next up I'm doing a photo shoot with all the critters together in their somewhat natural habitat! You'll see what I mean. And I do have some featherwings and salmon flies coming up! Gonna be a busy next few weeks and hope everyone stays tuned!! I have a few announcements coming down the pipeline also! E.P. Fibers, Craft Fur and a pinch of flash. These Kwan patterns give off sculpin vibes and smallmouth bass tend to agree.
Although the Kwan is noted for its performance in the salt, we encourage giving them a try in freshwater for smallmouth.
