🔉 Based in Gatineau, Québec, the duo explores sound, archives, and physical space. For the residency program’s 13th year, they will create an immersive audio installation inspired by the Diefenbunker’s historic CBC Radio Broadcasting Studio — blending archival material, field recordings, and the human element of emergency broadcasting. 📻

A page from the making of a show that changed the scale of everything.
Going through some old boxes this morning, I stumbled upon my sound designer / manager’s notebook from the creation of The Far Side of the Moon.
25 years ago, this was already a large-scale show in the making — and it went on to tour the world for decades.
For me, it meant traveling endlessly, dedicating nearly two full years to this production, and opening the door to twenty years of collaboration with Robert Lepage and Ex Machina.
It was an incredible honor to work with Robert for the first time — whose work I had admired for years — and to remix and adapt the music of another idol, Laurie Anderson, who composed the score for the show.

Une page du making of d’un spectacle qui a changé l’échelle de tout.
En fouillant dans de vieilles boîtes ce matin, je suis retombé sur mon cahier de concepteur / régisseur sonore de la création de La face cachée de la lune.
Il y a 25 ans, c’était déjà un spectacle d’envergure en devenir — et il allait parcourir le monde pendant des décennies.
Pour moi, ce projet a signifié voyager sans arrêt, y consacrer près de deux années complètes, et ouvrir la porte à vingt ans de collaboration avec Robert Lepage et Ex Machina.
C’était un honneur immense de travailler avec Robert pour la première fois — que j’admirais depuis longtemps — et de remixer et adapter la musique d’une autre idole, Laurie Anderson, compositrice du spectacle.
