On the second day of our Easter half-term activities, the J.RAW girls had an unforgettable experience at the British Science Museum, where curiosity met creativity. We were honoured to be joined by our Head of Programmes, Kim, whose presence added a special layer of guidance and encouragement throughout the day🌱.
The visit was not just a trip — it was a journey into discovery. Our girls immersed themselves in interactive exhibits, explored fascinating scientific concepts, and confidently engaged with hands-on learning. It was heartwarming to watch them explain how different displays worked, proudly demonstrating what they had understood and discovered💫.
This wasn’t just about science — it was about confidence-building, critical thinking, and seeing themselves as future innovators. Day 1 of JRAW’s Easter Half Term ✨🦋
We began our Easter Half Term with a magical trip to the Butterfly House at the Horniman Museum. The girls were given a reflective challenge: to find butterflies and explore how they could relate or connect their journey to the butterflies around them.
Their responses were so thoughtful—tapping into self-awareness, imagination, emotional connection and their faith. This was more than just a visit to see beautiful creatures—it was a space to reflect, grow, and bloom🌱.
After lunch, we wrapped up the day with some much-needed time outdoors. There’s something so healing about fresh air and play—it brings joy to the body and calm to the mind. Nature has a way of holding us gently, and on that day it held us beautifully💫.

We caught up with a few skaters to hear why VS matters to them because these voices deserve to be heard. From 14-year-olds still in their school uniforms to OGs with grandkids, VS is a place where passion, culture, and creativity collide—especially for young people finding their flow on their 8’s.
