DANBABA DIARIES 4/4
Final entry.
The project wasn't always called DanBaba. When the concept began in 2022 the first title was KINGSBABY — it slapped until it didn't. Towards the end of last year I thought I'd found it with J, P, and the L — intelligent, intentional, all tracks titled as L's. But it felt like a bit much.
We also played with SALT and then 'The L Project' but they didn't give that iconic, memorable feel we wanted to capture. Then this January came and Danbaba fell like manna. Actually it was always there. (The full story will come at the listening session.)
Now an important update —
We apologize that the EP will not be dropping on May 1st as announced. We fell behind on some finishing touches and want to deliver something worthy and not rushy.
DanBaba now drops May 29th.

DANBABA DIARIES 3/4
A week ago, Momsi stopped by my place on her way to see her own Momsi. Before she arrived I made sure everywhere was sparkling — because she will find the spec in your eye and the dust on the edge of the table.
She remains one of my strongest influences.
She took me to the other side of the city every Sunday just to attend church.
She instilled values that cannot be unlearned and a simple way of seeing life that has stayed with me.
And of course — I was hearing her sing from the womb.
My mother but one of my closest friends.
So it's only worthy that her voice opens the DanBaba album on May 1st. You wouldn't be hearing mine as an MC or musician if she hadn't received me, chose to keep me and raised me right.
