Rest in Peace Raul. Raul Malo, the founder and leader singer of The Mavericks left us last night. His voice and songs were mesmerizing. I saw him and the band play every trip I took to Nashville for the AMAs, and had the honor or talking with him for a little bit after their gig in The Exit/In a few years back. He was total gentleman. Last saw him was at The Beacon in NYC in July ‘23. There was a wonderful show at The Ryman for him last week. Glad he stayed around to see how much he was loved.
