Why? Because I feel pure joy when I just did that thing easy. Like I always had it in me. But why was I so scared? Because I listen to every voice in my head saying « if you get hurt now You can’t work, you can’t pay XYZ priority bill. » mistakes happen easily. But less if you stay sharp and cut your practice off appropriately. Use building pieces that sharpen your awareness.
Haha! today I was like Ms Frizzle. Teaching these kids physics through play. “It’s like magic!” One of them said when I explained conservation of angular momentum in a way that a kid could understand.
It’s like when a figure skater spins really fast and then slower on the ice. They make themselves skinny to be spinny and wide to slow down. Your chain works in a similar way. Big gears for going slow and little gears for going fast!
It’s so motivating to see eyes widen with amazement when you unlock a whole new way for them to perceive the world and play within it.
In a world where everything is telling you to get after it. Do it scared. Be the best you can be. The truth and the lesson always seems to be just patience. It will be there. The opportunity will present itself. Here I am learning that lesson still. Dumped a bit early on this one. Made it flippy and blind and if I had landed it would have all been muscle memory and a bit of luck. Thanks to @momentumcamps for the opportunity to hit their bag and coach myself with these. The other lesson seems to be if I want to ride the way I would like I need to invest in my own time.
Overcooked laps with @_neil_connolly fire and ice team mate. Former Elan team rider and Nat Half pipe team! Guy can still show up cold and stomp

The quality of my ride matters most to me on My day to day. @doneksnowboards twin keeps me fast through the soup, and straighter off the takeoff with an only slightly larger than average 8.2M radius. Photo dump from the other day.
Thanks 🤳 @t.i.n.k.a.a.a
Loving the process again.
