I can’t recall when @jpaulgetto and I first linked up, has to be well over a decade ago, probably longer as I was still living in NYC at the time. I first caught wind of his music through a buddy in Philly who sent me a mix featuring one of JPs releases; it stood out, production was real tight, a quality record that was sonically superior to everything else in the mix. I found out he was doin work with the XMix crew, doin music for Beyonce, Felix Da Housecat and some other artists. Around that same time his name was popping up on top 10 charts left and right. We ended up doin some work together and the rest is gravy. It’s a pleasure to have him back at Compact Disco this Saturday as my special guest.
