What do you know about biochar? đ±
It's quite an interesting process that turns any organic waste material through pyrolysis (a heating process in abscence of oxygen) into biochar, a material that - if not burned - can last hundreds of years and thus withdraw carbon dioxide from the air for a sustainable time. Its being used in agriculture and horticulture to improve soil quality and has many more benefits.
The technology is still in its infancy but it seems pretty promising to me đ„

Das @umgebinde1657 ist eine ziemlich exotische Version des Fachwerkhauses, aber es zeigt umso deutlicher, was man aus gut erhaltener Bausubstanz machen kann.

Ich war mit @christinaebisch auf der @forsthofalm und habe zwei Tage lang die unfassbar angenehme AtmosphĂ€re des Vollholzhotels (aus @thoma_holz100 ) genieĂen können.
Besonders interessanter Fact: das Hotel spart ĂŒber 70 % der Heizkosten eines ânormalenâ Hotels dieser GröĂe ein. đź

1 Day, One Design
To celebrate my birthday, I spent a day in the workshop with two friends, racing against time to design and build a brand-new object in just one day. Sketching, cutting, assemblingâevery step was a blast!
(Okay, I had to finish the lamp fitting the next day because the printer wasnât in the workshop. We did start pretty late, too!)
