Stepping into rooms like the Arts & Culture Caucus at Legislative Hall reminds me that advocacy is not just about conversation — it’s about presence, participation, and pushing ideas forward together.
Since joining the board of the Delaware Arts Alliance @deartsalliance on January 1, I’ve been deeply impressed by the organization’s intentional approach to arts advocacy across our state and its commitment to building stronger pathways for artists, educators, creative entrepreneurs, and cultural leaders.
There are many ways to support this work, but real change happens when everyday people decide to take up space in spaces like this. Policy, funding, education, public art, creative opportunity, none of it moves forward without people willing to show up, collaborate, and advocate for the future we want to see.
The needle only moves when we move it together. 🎨✨
