It’s the first single from my upcoming EP “The Time Of Your Life”.
This song is about loving someone who you have to let go of. I’ve held onto it for a long time, so it feels good (and slightly terrifying) to finally let it go.
I worked with some truly incredible people to help bring these songs to life - The Movies has always been one of my favourites and now it’s yours.

Pure enjoyment from start to finish, I loved leaning into the emotional depth of Naro’s playing and bringing out the best of an instrument that is so dear to me 🎹

Next up in the Nearfield Reflections hot seat is the amazing @joystacey_ . A fellow engineer at @gms_gold , we’ve been friends for many years and have collaborated on countless projects together. She’s a fantastic engineer, with a keen eye for detail in both mixing and recording approaches.
Here Joy gives an insight into some of her recording chains and how being creative with what you track through can really shape a song as well as how important it is for mastering to be a separate, dedicated process.
