Recently I went on a few road trips with my mum where we drove up and down the countryside of Western Australia, and it made me think how lucky I am to be able to see the world together with her 🥰😁🚗💨

Red in Motion
Was really interesting to hear all the different interpretations of this spread, but I viewed as in every version of Red, he always just kept on going 🐎🐎🐎
Which version of Red is your favourite? I personally am torn between Robber Red and Astronaut Red 🤩🤩🤩
☀️🐎☀️🐎☀️🐎☀️🐎☀️🐎☀️🐎☀️🐎☀️🐎
As he watched the sun sink behind the mountains, Red thought to himself,
“I wonder…how far is the sun?”
Having lived in the stables all his life, Red the horse, has always had the burning curiosity of what the world had to offer beyond the confines of his bubble. Once free, he encounters all things weird and wonderful, but most importantly what matters to him most.
An ambitious goal, How Far is the Sun? is a fully illustrated watercolour book about what it means to grow up, and the pursuit of dreams.
Gradshow set up for my final year project , "How Far is the Sun?" 🐎🌞
Was very very happy with how it turned out in the end 🤩🤩 tbh I do miss it now that I am looking at these photos again........ :"-))

Process sketches of The Blue Pear 🍐💙
I haven’t looked at these for awhileee so it was very interesting to see how the story developed into the final book :-)) I believe that anyone can enjoy picture books, so this story is meant for both children and adults of all backgrounds, ages etc!
Part of the story stemmed from my experience with growing up with severe eczema which resulted in me being very conscious of how I looked among my peers and how I couldn’t do things that normal kids could do. I really struggled with this throughout childhood, and even in adulthood too.
Fortunately, over time and with the support from family and friends I eventually came to accept that this is who I am, and there’s nothing wrong with that! :-)
I hope that anyone who reads the story of The Blue Pear will feel that it’s okay to be different as that’s what makes us all unique and cool :-D ✨⭐️🌟💫 🍐💙

红跑!(Red Run !) 🐎🍊🍊🧧✨⭐️🌟💫
Happy Chinese new year everyone!!!!!! Red is having fun visiting family and exchanging oranges (to hopefully get hong baos 🤭😆)
Ngl I am surprised that with my level of Chinese I could understand this joke that my sister made:
红跑 (hong pao) or “Red run” is a pun of the word 红包 (hong bao) or “red packet” hence…red running…🤭😆

The Migrant Writers of Singapore creates spaces of belonging for workers looking to practice their craft through community. But can their stories present a new narrative about migrant lives and push our cosmopolitan, capitalist nation-state to pay closer attention?
