Have you listened to the second episode of season 2 of The Dear Me Podcast?
In this episode, Kamnele opens up a deeply important conversation.
Do you love your body?
From self-perception to acceptance, this episode explores the relationship we have with our bodies and the quiet thoughts we often struggle to say out loud. A gentle reminder that your body is not your enemy, and learning to love it can be a journey worth taking.
Listen to this episode on Spotify, reflect, and tell us in the comments section: what does loving your body mean to you?

The menu for Sunday is finally here.
I’m so excited to be partnering with @shopounjeco for this spread. I talk about them incessantly for a reason - I love them down for real. Their paw paw jam is a staple in my kitchen, so incorporating it into the menu was a must.
This Sunday Spread:
• Mains: Parmesan Shakshuka topped with Ounje Co Iru Rodo crisp, French Toast with Ounje Co paw paw jam, and Iru mustard bacon & egg sandwiches.
• Sides: Mango chia pudding, lime & chili salsa, and mini chicken pies.
• Sips: Mango cinnamon lattes, sparkling limeade, and more.
Sunday. Surulere. 10am.

Wine After Work @thejoydraggershouse is inspired by those nostalgic after-work hangouts we grew up watching. It’s that in-between space to shake off the pressure of the week, vent with your squad, or ease into your TGIF plans.
If this sounds like your vibe, click the LINK IN BIO to grab your ticket, tell your babes, and save the date. 🥂

I’ve always loved a good breakfast spread, but lately, it’s become more than just a meal for me. I started making my breakfast videos as a challenge to rethink what that first meal of the day could actually be, and it sent me down this incredible rabbit hole of testing new flavors and textures.
Now, I want to bring that curiosity to the table with all of you.
This Sunday is about sharing that space - good food, a book swap, and just catching a collective vibe.
The Details:
• When: Sunday, May 10th.
• Time: 10am – 2pm.
• Where: Joydragger’s House, Surulere.
• Tickets: Sliding scale 10k – 25k.
If you grab the 25k ticket, you’re taking home a full-size mystery artisanal piece from the house. Link in bio to join us.
Our second edition of fire and smoke was a reminder of everything good that happens when you bet on yourself.

We are working on the next album and we have a date - 30th May 2026.
We’d share more details over the next couple of weeks

Over the last couple of months I have been called to a deeper silence when it comes to sharing my innermost thoughts. I wrote and wrote and wrote stuff for my substack and didn’t feel an inner knowing to share.
I finally shared this letter I wrote to someone I met online last year whose writing moved me in ways I didn’t think works could.
Here’s an excerpt from the longer piece - and if you want to read the full thing the link is in my bio
Maybe that’s what I’ve been trying to protect by being coherent to this world for thirty-two years - because I knew that once I became my truest self, a type of loneliness would eat away at me. And Akwaeke was right: “There is no lonely like a god’s lonely. I suffer in different directions.”
Yet in my hiding, I am still as lonely as ever. I have turned myself into a temple of mirrors, and mirrors can’t hold you. All they do is echo.
———-
Also still happy that I am still able to write when I need it the most.
Tell them about how you’re never really a whole person if you remain silent, because there’s always that one little piece inside you that wants to be spoken out, and if you keep ignoring it, it gets madder and madder and hotter and hotter, and if you don’t speak it out one day it will just up and punch you in the mouth from the inside. - Audre Lorde, Sister Outsider
