Jul is what we call Christmas in Sweden and the main celebration day is actually today on Dec 24th.
The Swedish Santa Claus, 'tomten', is more related to the farm gnome, a creature in Nordic folklore who guarded the farm and was given food to maintain a good relationship with him.

In Sweden, we have the tradition of celebrating Lucia on December 13th. 🕯🌿✨️
Lucia comes in a procession with her handmaidens and star boys, dressed in a long white gown and with a crown of candles in her hair. Singing Lucia songs and bringing treats like saffron buns and gingerbread biscuits. A tradition that really brightens up the December darkness! ⭐️
