My lil miss Vayda… my everything. From the day I brought her home over 9 years ago, it was always me and her.
She got sick last May, and the vet thought it might be time to let her go, but she fought all the way to March — the day after my birthday.
When I told my best friend I didn’t know how I was going to do anything without her — when everything I’ve done for over a decade, every scary choice I made, like moving to Colorado knowing only one person because I needed change, she was right there with me — she reminded me of something that has kept me from falling completely apart.
Vayda came into my life to teach me that I could do anything, that I could face fear head-on. With her, I found my own courage. She wasn’t just my dog… she was a reflection of me. I’ll miss her being by my side for all the moments and experiences of my life. Forever loving you Vayda xx

Missing home extra today. Last week, I totaled my car. Despite a concussion, I’m here—and deeply grateful.
This past year has been one of the most meaningful of my life. Full of moments worth remembering and people worth holding close. It made me realize how much I’ve kept to myself.
