We need a Manager for our Back-of-House Operations at a remote lodge, with the following experience.
3–5 years’ experience in hospitality, lodge or hotel operations, with at least 2 years in a maintenance, facilities or back‑of‑house management role.
▶️Maintain all core lodge services and infrastructure (water, electricity, sewerage, rubbish removal, roads, drainage), and report and resolve any faults quickly.
▶️Oversee maintenance operations, including vehicles, generators, guest rooms, public areas, back of house, kitchen equipment, solar and battery systems; plan services, identify faults, order parts, and keep all maintenance records, power and water logs, and BOH reports up to date.
▶️Manage stock and stores by supporting deliveries, conducting regular and weekly stock takes as assigned, controlling discrepancies, and ensuring accurate records at all times.
▶️Supervise and support guides, trackers and maintenance staff by delegating daily tasks, training new staff on standards and protocols, addressing problems through the correct structures, and maintaining good communication and working relations.
▶️Uphold lodge policies and professionalism: report for duty on time, wear uniform and maintain a tidy appearance, keep staff quarters and bathrooms clean, follow the code of conduct, communicate respectfully, and accept reasonable additional duties when required.
