The year is 2024, I decide to stop waiting for every star to be aligned so I can start doing what I always dreamed of and step out of my comfort zone. Here I am setting off for 9 months solo as a “backpacker” with a little twist: my backpack is filled with my camera gear, and everything else has to fit in a suitcase. So much for the backpack experience, I’ll make this work, I don’t have a choice now. It’s impossible to showcase a whole trip through a 1min reel, but here’s a very small fraction of what I experienced during these 9 months spent traveling around Asia. While this might represent only a fraction of the trip, the moments of doubt, discomfort, solitude-or the opposite: social burnout and overwhelm, the countless hours spent traveling, being homesick, but then the moments of bliss, fulfilment, discovery, the pushing through, exhaustion, and above all, the encounters, these are the memories that stay. Because connections probably make 90% of the experience, not just beautiful instagrammable places. Social media and perfectionism might make me feel like I should have captured more—but this trip was perfect as it was. And if I have less footage, it only means I was truly living in the moment. Hi there, been a while! 
After many years of overwhelm and paralysis (fellow ADHDers where you at) I finally decided to put the effort into putting my years of work travelling around the world out there, whether the algorithm likes it or not! 
To whomever out there struggling with being “too perfectionist” and procrastinating because it’ll never be good enough: it is good enough. If you’re constantly re editing some shots because you procrastinated so much because it wasn’t worthy enough to post: you are not alone. 
No matter how dated the shots are, it will always be better to have them out there rather than lost in a Lightroom library.
