Well, what can I say about 2025? It was a rollercoaster of emotions, a challenge I overcame. It was filled with grief and loss, but also marked the start of a new life and a new beginning. The best quote for grief I ever read was this: Grief is the price we pay for love; if given the choice between grief and nothing, I'd choose grief. It can shape you. I thought after my friend Edger's death in November 2024 that was it, but boy was I wrong.
We lost Quinn as well as four other close friends. For my wife's family, we lost Tim, a great companion of the family. There were continuous moments where giving up would have been an extremely acceptable solution to these losses, but we kept going.
It was ten years since we lost Zak Taylor. Five years since we lost Ruthie.
With all this grief, I sunk into extreme depression as well as other diagnoses, and I felt stuck, but there were some positives. In August 2025, I married my best friend and beautiful wife Melissa Beasley, something ten years ago, in active addiction, I didn't believe was possible. Watching her achieve her goals motivates me to achieve mine. They say being married to your best friend doesn't even feel like marriage, and it's true; every day is different and new with its challenges, but there is absolutely no one else I would pick to go through that with than her, and for that, I am grateful. I traveled a lot together this year - two countries, six states, and four provinces, to be exact, some for music and some for just myself with Melissa. I debuted my music live in the United States as well as Quebec. I got three of my bands signed, as well as major releases for 2026, and debuted live shows for them. Not to mention
