Letting 🇵🇭 weaves and workmanship speak before I even begin.
What began as a vision became real in less than two weeks. This is made possible with @markdomingo.hmua ’s steady hands and sharp eye. We worked with locally sourced Inabel and binakol textiles and reimagined them into a butterfly-sleeve x @tayo_studio seashell jusi barong. The pants were expertly made by our hardworking tailors at New Kamuning Market.
For some, it’s just fast food.
For me, stepping into @jollibee outside the Philippines feels like a gastronomic pilgrimage.
I got to share that with @junghahakim , who now casually drops Filipino words, understands the references, and knows why this bee means more than chickenjoy and spaghetti.
Grateful for grace-filled wins at work, and a boyfriend who knows my favorite flowers and shows up for my dreams...intentionally and beautifully. 💐

POV: fishing community ASMR
My favorite part of this semester? Taking my SocSc 14 students out of the Katipunan bubble and into the everyday of a fishing community by Laguna Lake. We spent the weekend with the Nanays who organized themselves into a community-based group, caring for each other and making decisions together. Their stories and everyday actions showed us what the politics of care and collective action really look and feel like.
This is politics, governance, and citizenship as lived, experienced, and negotiated. #servicelearning

If you told the 20-year-old me that I’d make it here with joy and sanity intact, the baklita in me probably wouldn’t have believed you. This number felt a little scary. But now, I realized that it’s not me who should be afraid of this age, it’s this age that should be ready for me. Eme!
I’m just deeply thankful to be surrounded by family and friends. I’m holding both the good and the not-so-good moments that shaped me bc all of it brought me here.
