17 years ago today @celinadean and I were married on a boat. I knew then that I was lucky, but I had no idea just how lucky. Celina is my best friend. My favorite person. Someone I aspire to emulate and impress every day. She drags me into life and teaches me to approach it with excitement, joy, generosity, patience and most of all gratitude. 6,205 days and counting, and I love her more every day.
She is the love of my life and the most interesting, surprising and astonishing person I’ve ever met. I continue to be grateful and amazed that she chose me. Just being in her orbit makes the people around her feel cared for, heard and celebrated. She can run till the sun comes down, cook spectacular meals for forty people and write words on a page that will make your heart ache and sing in turns.
