The films that mean the most to me haven’t always been the most popular but this one means a lot because of the people who made it happen.
Maybe that’s fitting.
We shot Goodbye Mother in the middle of the Peak District a while ago. A couple of close friends and my dad packed into his Fiat Panda with a bit of a story to tell. The best way to make things.
It’s a little film about a miracle planet… or at least, that’s what it seems. Really, it’s about this one. We described a far off paradise world using places we’ve already broken, here at home. - A mirror at what we’re facing, and what we’re going to leave behind without change.
Hopefully that resonates with some.
