During her visit to Texas, Ambassador Dina Kawar joined the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth for a discussion on Jordan’s role as a force for stability, dialogue, and partnership in the Middle East.
The conversation highlighted the strength of Jordan–U.S. relations and the growing opportunities for economic cooperation and regional engagement.
🇯🇴✈️ A new chapter in Jordan–U.S. connectivity takes off as Royal Jordanian officially launches its inaugural direct flight between Amman and Dallas.
Marking the fifth U.S. destination for Royal Jordanian Airlines, this new four-times-weekly route is expected to strengthen tourism, business, and cultural ties while supporting growing travel demand ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup matches.
The inaugural ceremony in Dallas, Texas brought together Ambassador Dina Kawar, RJ COO Karim Makhkouf, and officials from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, American Airlines and OneWorld Alliance.

“Al-Nashama Park” officially opened in Marj Al-Hamam. Developed across 56 dunums, the park features green spaces, walking paths, children’s playgrounds, outdoor seating areas, and sports facilities, offering residents a modern and welcoming destination for families and visitors.
Jordan successfully concluded its participation in the SelectUSA Investment Summit 🇯🇴🇺🇸
This year featured the largest-ever private sector delegation from Jordan, led by Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Sami Smeirat; marking the first time an active Jordanian minister has participated in SelectUSA.
His Excellency’s visit included high-level meetings with U.S. administration officials, private sector leaders, leading think tanks, as well as a roundtable with leading U.S. tech companies hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Jordanian startups also took part in pitch competitions, showcasing the strength and innovation of Jordan’s growing tech ecosystem.
Minister Smeirat highlighted Jordan’s position as a regional tech hub, emphasizing its highly skilled talent pool, competitive business environment, and strategic location as a gateway to regional markets. He also underscored Jordan’s commitment to digital transformation, innovation, and fostering partnerships that support startup growth and investment opportunities.
حضور أردني لافت في قمة SelectUSA للاستثمار يعكس تصاعد الاهتمام الدولي بقطاع التكنولوجيا في المملكة
بوفد يُعد الأكبر من نوعه من القطاع الخاص، شارك الأردن هذا العام بقيادة وزير الاقتصاد الرقمي والريادة سامي سميرات، في سابقة تُسجل كأول مشاركة لوزير أردني في هذه القمة العالمية.
لم تقتصر الزيارة على المشاركة الرسمية فحسب، إذ شملت سلسلة لقاءات مع صناع القرار ومؤسسات اقتصادية وفكرية بارزة، وحوار مع غرفة التجارة الأميركية وممثلي شركات تكنولوجية كبرى في قطاع التكنولوجيا.
