2025 TRAVEL WRAPPED & Happy New Year 🎇
This was my 11th year of FULL TIME ON THE GO TRAVEL and it may have been the best one yet. Every year I tell myself I’m going to SLOW DOWN and find a base but then I get all these incredible opportunities from all over the world and I can’t help but say YES 😆
Thank you for always supporting/putting up with my adventures around the globe, I do this job because I truly love it and I hope that shines through with the content I create. Cheers to one heck of a 2025 and who knows….maybe we will switch it up in 2026? 👀
PS: 98 countries might sound like a LOT (and it is) but if you average that over 11 years of continuous travel it means every year I visit around 9 new countries which isn’t as hard to do as you might think ha (depth > checklist vibes) ☺️
Happy new year friends!!!

I mean what’s the worst that can happen….right? 🤪
On this hike we got lost, caught in a hail storm, scrambled up many rocks & saw one of the best views that earth has to offer!
Pakistan has so many stunning landscapes and continues to be one of the best countries I’ve ever visited!

These Amazon monkeys sure know how to work a selfie angle 😅
⠀
I used to hate monkeys because my main experience with them were the ones in Bali (they are scary aggressive) but these cuties from the Monkey Island sanctuary were so friendly.
⠀
Thank you @amak_iquitos for the incredible experience and stay ☺️

Anyone else LOVE Burmese food? 👀
Myanmar is a really affordable country for anyone from the a developed country like Australia BUT the average wage here is $80USD a month which I can’t even begin to understand how it’s possible!

In all my years of travel I’ve never been to a country quite like Myanmar that’s for sure 🇲🇲
It left a lasting impact on me and I’ve thought about the locals I met every single day since I’ve left. Gotta be a special place to create that kind of impression that’s for sure. Let’s hope things start to improve 🥲

The Forgotten Nation of Myanmar 🇲🇲
Every single year 30 million tourist visit Thailand yet less than 200,000 tourist visit the neighbouring country of Myanmar. This countries currently facing a lot of internal conflict that no one is really talking about, which is why I was completely shocked at how nice everyone was when I visited.
The Burmese are some of the most authentic and genuine people I’ve ever met along my travels. They have such a beautiful culture and some really yummy mango shakes! I needed way more time and would love to revisit one day soon.
Unless you’re a really experienced traveller, I would save Myanmar for another day, but everyone should visit because there’s no other country quite like it 🫶🏼

Building that Dad lore in Myanmar!
It’s probably good to note that although I felt safe the entire time the country is still going through a civil war. Lucky for me all I met was friendly locals and nice potato farmers 🥔

Meet Aye Mu - a girl from rural Myanmar that dreams of being a professional singer!
She was also born blind and has lived in this village her entire life. If you ever get the chance to meet her she is happy to exchange your favourite song for an ephemeral tattoo ☺️
From the surface it’s a fun, silly little activity but Aye Mu loves meeting foreigners. So as someone who was born with clear physical disadvantages this its a great way for her to do that while sharing her voice and dream with the world!
This was the highlight of my trip to Myanmar & if you’re ever thinking about going you should give her a visit.
Organised by @eversmiletrekking who are the local company in the region (I love them)

15 hour overnight bus anyone? 👀
Personally I had a great sleep but I think @brettcconti had a slightly different experience…I planned the trip so it come as somewhat of a surprise for him 😅 but that’s what travel is all about right?
Plus we saved money on accomodation and freed up an entire day in the schedule woohoo

Welcome to the most sacred Buddhist site in Myanmar 🇲🇲
This 2500 year old Pagoda is gold plated with a 3 billion dollar diamond on the very top. That equates for 5% of Myanmars GDP 🤯 but regardless, it’s very impressive and is really relaxing. I’d love to revisit this location if I ever get the chance.

Did you know the average income in Myanmar is $80 USD a month! While people in major cities can and do earn more that is the reality for the majority of the country 🤯
Myanmar has been hit with some pretty heavy inflation in recent years which has caused a seperate ‘local’ rate for exchanging money on the black market.
Which means you can’t use your bank card in the country unless you want to be charged double for every transaction. It also means that you need to bring in every single dollar you need for your trip otherwise you’ll be stuck with very limited options.
Not the easiest place to travel but it’s well worth it 🥰

Well I don’t see why not….right?
With all the other global conflict happening right now this country seems to have been forgotten about. But for me that only makes it more enticing to visit because I love travelling to places that are authentic and this is one of them ☺️
Stay tuned, let’s discover this country together!
