The greatest gig I will ever see played by the greatest rock and roll band in the world. There are no words to describe what Oasis at Wembley was like except for “biblical”. A truly religious experience…and if I ever see Paddy again, the pints are on me.
My quest to become the Rick Beato of Esoteric Aggressive Guitar Music is one step closer to completion. It was so fun to sit down with @marino911 at the shop and get into the stories and gear that went into the legendary @saetianyc discography. I think their mission of charity shows in their second half of existence really shows how they’ve been a band that knows what they’re about, and meant it from the start. Full interview is on YouTube - check it out!
Top things eaten and seen at namm. Except for the last slide - that’s just for fun, but maybe some dick pill colored Charvels would be fun. Appreciate anyone who stopped me and @gooniepete and said they like our silly Instagram videos. Guitars rule.
I wanted to find a way to shine a spotlight on guitarists from my favorite bands who have contributed so much in their careers to the culture of punk, hardcore and metal but will (unfortunately) probably not grace the cover of Guitar World and the likes anytime soon. Steve Vai and Slash are great, but they also didn’t write songs like Brightside or Backtrack. I worked with @chrisenriquezdrums & @revolvermag to create a new series called “Lifers” where we’ll give these rippers their long-due flowers all through hanging out at @themusiczoo .
First up is the legend who arguably perfected NYHC - @loochifer of @killingtimenyhc . Watch the video on YouTube and catch stories of his vintage Deans & 48th Street customs, and the new @dunable_guitars Killing Time Gnarwhal!
