This experience was SO. MUCH. FUN. God really used these beautiful vessels to speak to me and speak life into my art in ways I didn’t even know I needed. I am so inspired by the youth. That’s why I ALWAYS meet them where THEY. ARE. When I was asked to speak at this school on behalf of The Sankofa Festival, Saturday at 7PM… (SEE YOU THERE) They asked me to talk about my journey with music and talk to the children about Day By Day. I played the song for them after our discussion about what production is, how to arrange, why I write and y’all… them babies were ENGAGED. The answers I was getting were SO PROFOUND. They told me this was their new all time favorite song and they wanted to recreate it sooooo WE DID🥹🤍 I had them split up based on HOW THEY FELT and maneuvered the arrangement based off how they were responding to keep it as raw and tuned into their frequency as possible 🎶✨ pure MAGIC ✨🎶 I will definitely be back as I release more music haha. It was genuinely a full circle moment because School Of Rock was my FAVORITE movie so I literally got to live a desire of my heart. God is SO AMAZING.
