Cuckoo
The first time I heard a cuckoo, I was five years old, walking with my family through the dunes in Holland at sunset. Since then, the cuckoo’s territorial call has settled in my mind as a symbol of twilight. Perhaps the most beautiful moment of the day — a threshold between what has been and what is yet to come, suspended in both light and darkness, holding the quiet beauty of change.

The reputation of Buffalo Johansson is constantly being saved by his film crew, but gratitude is often nowhere to be found.
More than happy to develop the animated series “Buffalo Johansson” together with Lars Demoiseaux and David Vermander.
In a distant future, a dysfunctional TV crew travels the world hunting for lost treasures, hilariously
misreading relics of the long-forgotten 21st century. To save their show from cancellation, they
desperately maintain the illusion that their delusional host is a brilliant archaeologist.

Smiles and flowers
In this digital overload, it's always a blessing to touch paper again and let yourself be guided by spontaneity and accidents. Flowers and smiles, no winter dips, only winter ups.
The Dancing Whirlwind is dedicated to my childhood friend Hans Verachtert.
Hans was pure, untamed energy — honest, fearless, a true spirit of the Kempen.
At his farewell, he left us with one simple but powerful piece of wisdom:
find a spark of joy in every day, for days are too precious to be spent only in work and striving.
I have carried that idea with me ever since. Whenever I intentionally make room for joy, an imaginary high five follows.
With heartfelt thanks to the Verachtert family for helping this Dancing Whirlwind take flight.
