#recap I make it a point to see at least a bit of every set throughout the week. I wanted to share a clip and a post from every artist who performed at this years #ridgewoodjazzfest - @mbfmusic artistic director Axel Tosca’s Reverse Audio feat Xiomara Laugart. TV Eye main stage Truly one of my favorite musicians to play with Axel Tosca brought his new group Reverse Audio to RJF. A polyglot Axel speaks in many musical languages jazz, classical, Cuban, hip hop, electronica and this new group really defines his vision. The deep grooves of bassist Jon Smith (playing a amazing Ken Smith) and drummer Diego Ramirez was a bedrock for Axel to build his mesmerizing solos on top. And of course the grand diva herself Xiomara Laugart blessed the audience with a couple numbers. There’s a real joy in the way Xiomara sings and its effect on the audience is evident.
