Nädala teos: Jon Rafman. Unenäopäevikud 2016–2019 (2019) Kolme aasta jooksul lõi kunstnik oma unenägudest animatsioone, kasutades lihtsat 3D-tarkvara. Tulemuseks on teos, mis uurib tehnoreaalsust, videomängude esteetikat ja info ülekülluse mõju inimese psüühikale. Kahe peategelase dantelik rännak läbi düstoopiliste maastike koos sürreaalsete transformatsioonide ning veriste kokkupõrgetega on esitatud hektilise ja pidevalt koost laguneva süžeega unenäolise videomängu keeles. Eepilised arhetüüpsed müüdid, represseeritud libidinaalsed fantaasiad ning õudusunenäod loovad digiajastu internetisõltlase alateadvuse fantastilise portree, mida saadab elektroonilise muusika suurkujude Oneohtrix Point Neveri ja James Ferraro loodud helimaastik. Dream Journal 2016–2019 (2019) Over a period of three years, the artist created animations of his dreams using simple 3D software. The resulting work explores techno-reality, the aesthetics of video games, and the impact of information overload on the human psyche. The two main characters’ Dante-like journey through dystopian landscapes, complete with surreal transformations and bloody clashes, is presented in the language of a dreamlike video game with a hectic and constantly unfolding plot. Epic archetypal myths, repressed libidinal fantasies and nightmares create a fantastic portrait of the subconscious of an internet addict of the digital age, accompanied by a soundscape created by the electronic music giants Oneohtrix Point Never and James Ferraro.
