Hey! I'm Jon, and I've helped over a thousand artists take their productions across the finish line with their vision as the guiding light (yes, really!). Most of my work lives in organic indie rock, pop, and folk, but at heart, I'm kinda a vibe chameleon - flowing to whatever serves the song and its truth best. I'm always open to exploring different genres and influences. If you’re an indie artist that values emotional depth, tonal contrasts, and lush sounds, I bet we have a lot in common. My work with indie artists has reached over 10 million streams - you might have heard my mixes on Spotify editorial playlists, BBC Introducing, college radio, or while shopping. Follow along, get a feel for my vibe, and reach out if or when it feels right. More info on my website (link in bio). Ask me anything - I love questions!

Announcement! 4Becomes5 | We’re beyond happy to say we have a new member! On 2nd guitar please welcome Jon Paz Gale @jonpaz “Working with the guys on 1to0 was such a blast. The songwriting and sounds were as inspiring as they were intuitive, and I’m thrilled to be joining in even deeper now on guitar.” #newbandmember #welcometotheband #5thmember #bandannouncement #meettheband #bandlife #lafans #supportyourlocalband #supportyourlocalmusicscene #shoegaze #dreampop #indiemusician

One of my goals for this year is to post a little bit more often online. It’s a strange feeling for me - I’ve met so many great people and friends online, for which I am so grateful. Yet it seems the underlying nature of the social platforms is an evil machine with anything but humanity’s best interests at heart. I’ve spent a long time feeling guilty for still being on these platforms, letting them absorb my brain’s grey matter, and endlessly scrolling. Instead of just leaving forever, I’ve decided to lean into the inevitability of them - to use them for something, instead of just letting them use me. And that “something” is BOOSTING THESE LOVELY FRIENDS’ COOL RECORDS THAT YOU SHOULD LISTEN TO.

I grew up sitting on this ledge, knowing I’d pretty much always find my dad inside that second window from the left. If he wasn’t there, he’d be in his lab with the piles of equipment and projects I couldn’t fathom understanding. I remember the tree in front of the building that got hit by lightning and burned, I remember my first bike that got stolen from the bike rack, I remember every age skipping up those steps knowing I was gonna see my dad, and that he would make time for me no matter how busy he was. It’s weird to think about how many memories are in a building that pretty much looks like it did my whole life. I remember the smell of the building, that sweet smell of chalk and erasers, the hundred ramen noodle lunches with my dad, the dingy stairwells, the sense that everybody there was friends with him, and knowing they watched me as I grew up. Now that it’s being demolished to build a new building, I feel it all flooding back. In a time with all kinds of big changes, I’m glad I got to see it one last time. I’d give anything to be able to walk into his office and see him one more time. But I’m grateful, so grateful, for all the times I did. 🖤

I love this woman more than life itself. I’m so grateful to be her partner for life, continually learning and laughing and crying and goofing together. 5 years has been filled with so much joy, it’s felt like 5 minutes. I wouldn’t trade it for the world. ❤️ you forever, Courtney. Pictured: us trying to not freak out about heights

After a lot of training in the family craft, you can now my hire son/dog to mix your next record. He loves giant low end and can also hear way higher than people do. He also might get distracted and ask me to finish up for him. #nepobaby #woof
