Skomer Island is also home to a large number and variety of rabbits. They were introduced to Skomer around 700 years ago by the Normans. They have since grown used to visitors and often graze at the edge of the path as you walk past.

The Blue Lagoon is the flooded remains of the old slate quarry just north of Abereiddy.
From tomorrow, through to November 5, National Trust Cymru will be closing the Blue Lagoon to visitors to allow the grey seal population time and space to feed, rest, socialise and raise their pups.
