It’s been difficult to even think about sharing this experience and loss with people outside of our closest friends and family. But it doesn’t feel right to not talk about something that has absolutely changed us and our lives forever.
At the end of July, we learned that our lil baby McMiller no longer had a heartbeat. It was a devasting end to the 10 weeks I got to carry and grow our first human baby. We grieved losing this pregnancy as we celebrated our first year of marriage. This past month has held some of our highest highs right alongside our lowest lows.
We now know that so many of you have experienced similar loss and struggles and we appreciate all the love and support we’ve already gotten as we continue through this grieving and healing process. We will always honor baby Otie’s memory and their place in our little family.
Ps biggest gratitude to my husband and bestie. @jonmccon has quite literally kept me fed and hydrated while supporting my desire to binge watch weird ancient civilization shows in the days after to keep me distracted. I married the best person to go through this with 😘
Here are some moments from the last month that sparked joy and reminded me that we’ll be alright 🌈
A whole year of being married to my best friend ✨🥰
This year was filled with driveway walks, coffee + pastry dates, wins, losses, pup cuddles, camping, giggling, happy + sad tears, new jobs, stick tosses and so much more. I truly wouldn’t want to do all that is life without Jonny and everyday I know we are incredibly lucky to have found each other (again).
Cheers to year 1 bud. I love you @jonmccon 🧡 Now let’s go camping!
