For many people, mental health conversations happen in an office, a classroom, or even online. For us - Medicolegal Death Professionals - they often happen in silence. In the car after a scene. In the shower trying to wash the smell off. At 3am staring at the ceiling replaying what you saw. At a child death. At a suicide. At an overdose. At the notification you can’t forget. This profession changes people. Not because we are weak. Because we are repeatedly exposed to trauma most people will never witness once…let alone thousands of times. And yet many in this field still feel like they have to “just deal with it.” No support. No decompression. No understanding. Just move on to the next call. That has to change. Mental health is not weakness. Burnout is not failure. Compassion fatigue is real. PTSD is real. And the emotional toll of this work deserves acknowledgment, support, and resources. At Last Responder, we believe the people investigating death deserve support while trying to survive the weight of it. Because the last responders deserve a first line of support. If you are struggling, you are not alone. And if you work beside someone carrying this job heavily, check on them. 💚💜🩶🖤💚💜🩶🖤 #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #LastResponder #RespondersInc #MedicolegalDeathInvestigation #Coroner #MedicalExaminer #DeathInvestigator #ResponderWellness #MentalHealthMatters #CompassionFatigue #PTSD #DeathCareProfessionals #life #death #medicolegaldeathprofessional #IfTheLawRequiresAResponse #science #medicalexaminer #coroner #ptsd #mentalhealth #wellness #wellnessmatters

“I want to feel you from the inside, is 32 years old today, Nine Inch Nails released the music video for “Closer,” a dark, surreal nightmare that pushed boundaries and left an unforgettable mark on pop culture. Directed by Mark Romanek and filmed in part at the abandoned Linda Vista Community Hospital in Los Angeles, the video turned “The Downward Spiral” single into something even more unsettling, mixing religious imagery, sexuality, decay, and old-world medical horror into one unforgettable vision. MTV, still near the peak of its powers, responded by editing the video for broadcast, replacing several shots with “Scene Missing” cards and muting parts of the audio. Even with those adjustments, it was mostly pushed into late-night rotation due to its provocative edge. The end result was more than just a video. It was a cultural shockwave that helped redefine what a music video could be. And truth be told? It still hits just as hard today as it did back in the early ’90s. #NineInchNails #Closer

I love my town, and so many people with in it. I hear and see your frustrations. Im there with you. Im just as tired of what these councils have become, both city and school. A literal circus it honestly seems. If you feel it contributed, then here is my apology. I apologize I didnt stand up quicker, yell louder, point all my fingers to hold thoseaccountable. I apologize for hitting low, and not aiming for more steady targets to actually make a difference. And I apologize for not pushing the very facts a bit harder for you all to understand for them to stick at the polls. Bless you. Bless this town. And bless where we may be in the next few years.

There is no origin story in country music quite like David Allan Coe's. He walked out of prison in 1967 after spending nearly 20 years in and out of correctional facilities. He had no money, no connections, and no place to sleep. So he did the only thing that made sense to him. He bought a red Cadillac hearse, drove it to Nashville, and parked it right in front of the Ryman Auditorium, where the Grand Ole Opry was held every weekend. He could not get inside those doors so he performed outside of them. Night after night, he stood beside that hearse and played for every person walking in and out of the Mother Church of Country Music. He even decorated the hearse with crude Opry decals to draw more attention. Eventually, Plantation Records noticed him and signed him to their label. His first two albums, Penitentiary Blues and Requiem for a Harlequin, came from that deal. It was the big break that launched an outlaw legend. He passed away at 86. But that hearse in front of the Ryman will forever be one of the greatest hustle stories Nashville has ever seen.

Some things aren’t meant to be carried into the next chapter. Sometimes you burn what no longer serves you… and make light from it. 🔥 This summer I’m not just sharing new music — I’m sharing a deeper part of what we’re building together. For everyone who has ever had to outgrow an old version of themselves… bienvenidos. You belong in this fire too. #JimmySwagg #RockLatino #NewMusic #Borrando #LatinRock
