8 years in Berlin and I’m still alive 🫠
This city really is the centre of the universe. It’s a hellmouth.
This city still has the possibility to totally take me by surprise. Just the other week I saw a woman walking her pet pig on a leash and nobody cared.
I adore this bat shit crazy town and all the bat shit crazy people in it 🤪🫠😂❤️
And just like that, another stunning Berlinale and European Film Market draws to a close ❤️

Such a fun market this year. I was expecting a LOT of talk about the elephant in the room (aka artificial intelligence).
But what really surprised me was not only meeting people reporting genuine benefits of AI filmmaking… But meeting people who are actually deeply passionate about AI filmmaking 😅 (I’ll be pondering on that…)
Such a pleasure to connect with old friends and new.
And on a personal note, it seems my projects are picking up traction and I’m bloody excited about it 🙈🦄

The next 10 years will be such a ridiculous and bat shit crazy adventure 🤣🤣
That life long dream of being a West End musical theatre performer? Yeah, that ain’t for you kid!
Thoroughly Modern Millie in the West End will be the last musical you will ever perform in before you sashay away out of that Stagedoor.
Life is tough AF right now. Working minimum wage in the most expensive city in the world, with unprocessed trauma and undiagnosed mental health challenges will lead to a severe burnout and nervous breakdown. This will become your superpower.
This burnout means you will lose your ability to sing. You will lose your voice and the ability to hold even a basic conversation. You will learn so much from this.
But you have some extremely cool people in your life right now. Your colleagues make you laugh so hard that you roll on the floor crying with laughter. You will never get to work with people this hilarious ever again. Cherish every moment.
You will get that Instagram body transformation. But you won’t feel fulfilled until your brain, heart and spirit is equally as healthy.
You’re about to get completely ripped out of the Matrix kicking and screaming.
The universe will rudely rip you out of London and plonk you in a foreign country with no home, friends, job or money.
You will soon have to go to job interviews in a new foreign language and sound ridiculous. You will get asked to leave.
You will discover Berghain and Kit Kat. You will learn that movement is therapy.
You will start a brand new profession in a brand new language in front of an audience who don’t like immigrants.
The next few years are going to be exhausting. And beautiful.
That idea you’ve been carrying since 2004… you’re going to meet someone magical who truly believes in you. In your darkest moments, they will instantly appear before you at work one day, like magic. They will nurture you and help you develop your craft.
In 2026, that project will be ready to be unleashed 😈
You will become so connected to life, universe and everything.
So, stay grounded. Laugh often. Follow your intuition. Get comfortable. Enjoy the ride!!!!
