Stillness.
Jonathon Rees has spent years in the dimly lit venues where jazz lives, moving closer to the stage, closer to the musicians, closer to the truth of what it means to play. His photographs find the exact moment between notes, the held breath, the inward look, the millisecond of absolute devotion before the music surges forward again.
These are not photographs of performance. They are photographs of presence.
Join us at the Prince Albert Gallery for the opening of Stillness.
