As a filmmaker, Jonathan’s work has received 100+ awards and has screened internationally across Europe, the Americas, and Australasia. As a festival director, he focuses on clear curation, fair process, and building festivals that genuinely support emerging filmmakers. The Love in the Moonlight poster has arrived, and with it, the date of our global premiere! 🌙 Inspired by the golden age romantic fantasy The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, Love in the Moonlight is a supernatural romantic comedy set between modern-day Australia and the glamour of Old Hollywood. When Samantha, a young modern Aussie woman, acquires a grand country estate, she discovers it is haunted by Jack Stirling, a 1950s Hollywood film star who has been waiting there since his death in 1952. Their first encounter is sharp, funny, and charged with something neither of them can explain. What you will see on April 26 is a three-minute proof-of-concept screener, the opening scene of a feature film currently in development, designed to introduce you to this world and the story we hope to bring to the screen. It is only the beginning. Following the premiere, Cassidy will join the incredible @itsjohnjoseph_ for a special post-screening Q&A broadcast live from Hollywood, California.
