Slim Aaron’s was my biggest inspiration when I started photography. The way his poolside gossip series made me feel, showed me the impact a great image can have on a viewer. It can stir up emotion and feeling like a favorite song. If you would have told me I’d get to share a book with that image series I don’t know that I’d believed you.
I am forever thankful to have been a part of this book for @assouline centered around my favorite place. It wouldn’t have been possible without @modernism_week and the many others that have shared these images along the way to be seen by others.
So thank you for sharing these images, it means the world.
There are so many of my hero’s in this book. To share the pages along side Slim Aaron’s, Frank Sinatra, dean Martin and Marilyn Monroe. To think somehow I got to fit in there along side them will always mean the world to me.
