I bit the bullet (wow) and did rigid body sim for the chains. It was not fun, but worth it.

For those who know the reference, great! For others, the car is based on an 80s TV show called Knight Rider starring David Hasselhoff. The car in the show did not have thrusters but it flew sometimes š

Not as stressful as the mech and done in a fourth of the time. Pretty happy with this one also from the blender bros courses. Iām obviously turning these into portfolio pieces using the course as a jumpstart. I like this methodology where I get inspiration from the course and then totally run off with it.

Mountain Landscape
Another part of the environment course from #cg_boost. More useful tips and methods to tackle large-scale scenes. Maybe there are too many birds. I added a bald eagle even though you can't tell. He's the top bird of the two on the right side of the mountain.

I found a tutorial on the youtubes and thought it would be fun to do and also add another product/object render to my portfolio. The tut only covered the modeling so I was on my own for colors, comp, lighting, and a few other details.

My result of an environment course from #cg_boost. Great tricks, tips, and methods to achieve scale and depth. I took some liberties finding my own cloud background and adding the lightning. The sky was too boring, considering what was rolling in, so I gave it some teeth.
