Instrumental section from a song I recorded at @sageartsrecording It’s been such an incredible experience working with the producers there and just being in such a beautiful space and creating. Looking forward to getting these songs out into the world.

This song was co-written in one spontaneous session by my lovely wife @jenisethatsme and I in the morning right before heading to the studio to start recording the new album. We recorded it live to tape the same day after writing it and I am so proud of the moment we were able to capture. I sang it at a house show a couple weeks ago which was so so lovely and I am so grateful to everyone who came out and shared in such an intimate, vulnerable, and present evening. I’m building a tiny home for the first time 🔨 Here is some progress on the tiny house I started building in January! The start to the year has been filled with some really fun and exciting projects that I can’t wait to share more about! I started recording my upcoming album this month which has some immensely talented musicians and engineers on it that are turning it into something I’m really proud of. I’ve been learning more about building and framing and learning as I go. I put the roof on next week, so stayed tuned for an update! Here’s me playing a section of Misty I mostly remembered the words to on a guitar I bought in Napoli for €40. Jenise and I stayed in an artist’s studio on the top of Positano and it felt like the world stopped for a few days of quiet togetherness, held in the impossibility of cliffs and stairways in an ancient city suspended somewhere between the edge of time and the beginning of the sea. 🎶: Misty by Erroll Garner 🎥 : @jenisethatsme

When I first moved to Seattle and walked down into Pike Place Market, it happened to be the day of that year's Flower Festival in 2017 and I remember seeing @jeannierakmusic play on this historic Pike Place stage. I never imagined then that I would also play it and that the beautiful market community would be such an important and impactful part of my life! Grateful for my people and for getting to share this beautiful Spring day with friends and passerbys alike. My debut EP, Evergreen, is out in the world and I wanted to thank and acknowledge all of the beautiful and talented folks who made it a reality. Pictures 1-3 were taken at @starlightstudioswa where I sang the songs in our living room over the course of so many patient and creatively rewarding sessions with @audio.alexander - Alex was the one who recorded and mixed and encouraged me to finish this record, believed in me and my music, and captured the warmth and intimacy in a way that only someone with an attuned, open, and thoughtful ear could have done. Pictures 4-5 are of my best friend, creative partner, and fiance @jenisethatsme who has endlessly supported me, my music, and any wild/crazy visions that I have to realize them with me. She filmed, directed, edited, and color graded all of the visual promotion behind the releases and I am so excited to see her filmmaking develop and grow and am grateful to be with someone who sees me and the worlds within the music. Pictures 6, 7, & 9 are of the talented and timeless @thefriendshipquilt who, when I saw them play live, was taken to another world and am not ashamed to admit I cried because it was so moving and beautiful. I knew I needed them on the EP, and am grateful they said yes and added such depth to the music. Picture 8 is of @zachclarkis who photographed, designed, and risograph printed the cover art for the two singles and the EP. I met him at a zine fest in Seattle and immediately felt in his art a slow, thoughtful, nature-inspired humanity that felt like what I hoped to express in my music. Picture 10 is a bts shot of @jenisethatsme and her parents making it rain on the one day in the PNW we needed it to for the video but it didn't haha. The last picture is me as a young lad cheesin' and playing the guitar. He would be so happy to know that his songs are out in the world!!
