How many idiots does it take to move 2 cars and build a tent? Four, and 9 hours apparently. It also turns out things are way easier if you read the instructions and don’t just assemble it however you fancy. A day of car related nonsense!
If you’re unsure about visiting @cncliverpool then don’t be, 20 pictures is no where near enough to convey the variety and quality of cars. Genuinely gave up taking pictures of stuff as there was simply too much!
Took the trip over to see @birk_haus RWB#7 get the finishing touches, got the pleasure of seeing @rwb_rauhweltbegriff breaking in the rear tyres in too!
I’m sure @96.charlotte really enjoyed watching several alignment tweaks and a McDonald’s for dinner.
What draws us as car people to old rusty stuff in hedges, scrap yards and just generally abandoned? For me it’s the story, how, when and why? Well today I didn’t have to wonder as I was lucky enough to bump into the owner of these two Suzuki SJ’s. Both black, one 1990 SJ413 and one 1987 SJ410. The little SJ413 Samurai has sat here since 2017, but hasn’t been on the road since 2010. The SJ410 has been off the road even longer, since 2004 and sat here since 2007! The little 970cc Santana was bought for just £160 from a chap in North Wales who used it as a mobile wheel barrow. The owner, Nick, an ex chemical engineer, was excited to share his plans for the far cleaner SJ413 Samurai as the rather rough SJ410 Santana had become the favoured napping spot for the neighbours Tortoiseshell cat.
Without the stories and memories, they really are just empty metal boxes, it’s this that makes them much more special than the sum of their parts.
