Tonight will be our 8th Encampment Shabbat in the People's Circle for Palestine!
Join us in celebrating this incredible space of multi-faith community and solidarity that the students have built with us over these past 7 weeks.
There will be a short service – blessings, candle-lighting, grape juice, and lots of lovingly home-baked challah – along with singing and live music.
7:30pm @ King's College Circle
With negotiations coming to a head, this is a critical moment.
Join us for another Shabbat in the encampment, bringing forward rituals, prayers, and songs in a multi-faith and peaceful space.

As a Jewish student at @uoft , I wholeheartedly support the @occupyuoft encampment and its demands.
The university admin keep saying that they want a peaceful resolution. What could be more peaceful than divesting from companies profiting from war, occupation, and apartheid?
This Chanukah, we come together to create light during a time of incredible violence and despair, and to ground ourselves in the knowledge that every life is sacred. Together, we fight for a future of freedom, equality, and safety for Palestinians, Israelis, and all people.
We need a ceasefire now, an end to the siege on Gaza, freedom for all being held captive, and a just and lasting peace.
Join me and @ifnotnowtoronto on the final night of Chanukah as we light candles, mourn for the dead, and re-dedicate ourselves to fighting like hell for the living.
Monday, Oct 23rd
8:00-9:00am, outside the Israeli Consulate
2 Bloor Street East, Toronto
Jewish organizations call on the Canadian government to demand a ceasefire now.
We refuse to allow our grief to be violently weaponized against millions of Palestinians. We cannot remain silent while our pain is being used to justify the relentless bombing of civilians in Gaza, and a humanitarian catastrophe that grows worse with each passing day.
We fear that the situation in Gaza is hurtling towards math death and displacement beyond anything we have seen in generations. We must take action before it's too late.
Briarpatch is going on a hot girl birthday tour! There's a Toronto event the evening of Saturday, September 23rd! 📆
Celebrate 50 years of visionary radical media & come hang out w/ me at the beloved Danu Social House.
Briarpatch caught the google/meta block, so we've gotta spread the word through our personal accounts 🫵

I built a desk! Made from some pre-loved 2x6s, and a reclaimed oak slab from the reno that gave birth to @danusocialhouse@desaima has been away for a few weeks so it felt like the perfect time to channel some energy into a project. She works from home a lot, so this desk is my way of saying: please stay in Toronto 🥺 Plus I was happy to have an excuse to play around in the garage and experiment with dowel joinery :))
