Jon is a British-Canadian teacher who began performing at open mics when he moved to Salzburg in 2019. Within a few months, he had serendipitously met Castl, a local barowner with a new space for performing artists called

And from there, a plan was formed: Jon would assemble a group of comedians to perform on NarrenCastl's stage, and hope to God a few of his friends would sit in the audience and laugh. It worked! The show was a success, and the energy existed for more! The audience grew and so did the comedians. And in 2024, the group finally got a name: Alpine Fools! 🎤
Jon has become known for his story-telling style, drawing inspiration from his life as a teacher in Austria. On any given night, you can hear him joke about learning German, first dates, trains, bachelorette parties, and chess. He uses his background of improv theatre to keep things lively and energetic. In 2022, he performed his first 1-hour solo show.
