Marty Supreme OST is out today! The maestro @eccopn has done it again with this masterpiece of a score. I got the chance to see the movie last night and my jaw never left the floor. I'm honored to have been able to play on it and lend one small color to Dan's kaleidoscopic palette of sounds. Run, don't walk, to your local movie theater to experience this incredible film in all its glory!
Heavy Metal came out a year ago today. I love Cameron's music very much and I feel so lucky to have had a small hand in its making. Shout out to soul brother LSH for providing the joyful and totally free zones needed for this music to grow. Thanks to all the other great musicians and others who gave their time and attention to help create this, and thanks Cameron for your music and for letting me be a part of it. But my biggest thanks go to all those who listen. I'm forever grateful!
Way back in 2011 we were sitting in a rehearsal room trying to come up with some original music for the Maurizio Cattelan retrospective "All" at the Guggenheim Museum. We had a lot of material but we needed a little bit more and time was short. So I thought "hey why don't we just end it with this little blues progression and I can kinda do spacey Jerry stuff for a little while over it until we quit" so that's what we did.
Imagine my surprise when, 14 years later, this little jam ended up in the closing credits of this great big movie, @weaponsmovie . What a thrill! Kind of an oddball choice but I think it works quite well. Thanks @zcregger for bringing us into your incredible film. Thanks @nespector for bringing us into "All". Thanks to my brothers in @whoismgmt for their eternal musical fearlessness. And biggest thanks for all who listen.
